An internationally-known Taiwanese contemporary artist, Yao Jui-Chung is one of my long term clients for whom I have been designing and maintaining his website since the beginning of my design career.
For over 20 years, I have revamped Yao’s website several times. The versions have evolved with the trend and development of the Internet; from a static brochure style site being the first version to the current version of a complex dynamic site with a fully bespoke Content Management System catered to the artist’s unique requirements.
Being a prolific artist with over 30 years of creations, Yao has produced over 70 collections of artworks, published over 40 books and taken part in hundreds of group and solo exhibitions. The current bi-lingual website cleverly presents the cross-referencing relationships between the artwork collections, publications and the related exhibitions; making the browsing of the website an entertaining experience for the researchers, the collectors and his fans.
